GenoPanic gameplay

Genopanic is a pixel-art adventure-platformer with a Metroidvania flavor—set aboard a derelict space station teeming with mutated creatures, puzzles, and dark secrets. You play as a delivery bot armed with a plasma cutter, flamethrower, gravity gun, and jetpack—accompanied by LAIK (a virtual dog) and outfoxed by VOLGA (a mischievous cat-girl AI).

While it wears the Metroidvania label, Genopanic is largely linear—guiding you from one segment to the next with clear pathing and helpful hints from LAIK, offering a streamlined exploration experience rather than deep, open-ended discovery. That said, the game’s controls are tight, the movement—especially with dash and double-jump—is satisfying, and combat feels crunchy and responsive, even if simplistic.

Visually, the pixel art is expressive and vibrant, paired with fluid animations and atmospheric sound design that balances eeriness with playful surrealism. At just under five hours to complete, Genopanic keeps momentum high and doesn’t overstay its welcome. Multiple endings, influenced by your choices and actions, enhance replay potential .

Cons:
